A San Diego manufacturer of advanced electronic and electromechanical products is seeking an experienced First Article Assembler / Solder Technician. This role involves building complex wire and cable assemblies, including initial builds from new or revised drawings. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently when documentation is limited and can identify build issues for the engineering and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities

Prepare wires through stripping, tinning, lead preparation, crimping and termination.
Hand solder wires and cables to high-density or low-profile connectors while meeting workmanship standards.
Build complex cable and wire harness assemblies, including point-to-point, chassis and panel wiring.
Read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, bills of materials and work instructions.
Support first article builds by identifying drawing discrepancies, documenting issues and providing feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams.
Route, lace and secure harnesses; install connectors and components using hand tools and small power tools.
Perform visual inspections and electrical tests, including continuity, go/no-go, insulation resistance and automated testing.
Troubleshoot defects and complete rework or repairs as needed.
Work under a microscope when required for soldering or inspection.
Complete production records, first article documentation and quality logs accurately.
Assist with labeling, color coding, trimming, epoxy application, potting and encapsulation as needed.
Follow safety procedures and provide guidance to less experienced assemblers when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training preferred.
At least 5 years of closely related custom or prototype assembly experience in an electromechanical environment.
Hands-on experience with wire and cable harness assembly, soldering, crimping and termination.
Experience supporting first article builds and working from new or revised drawings.
Ability to independently interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Experience using soldering equipment, hand and crimp tools, and basic electrical test equipment.
Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail and experience with inspection, troubleshooting and rework.
Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Ability to work overtime, including weekends, when required.

Preferred: IPC/J-STD soldering training or certification and knowledge of lean manufacturing or Kanban systems.

Qualifications

Overview
Medical device manufacturer in Irvine is seeking a Material Handler / Warehouse Associate to support production by moving, staging, and tracking materials. This role focuses on warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, and internal deliveries) while following quality and safety procedures in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, label, and put away incoming materials
Pick, kit, and stage components for production work orders
Perform material moves between stock, staging, and production areas
Maintain accurate inventory transactions (scan/enter moves, issue/return materials)
Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
Prepare shipments and assist with packing, labeling, and documentation as needed
Keep warehouse areas organized (5S), clean, and compliant with safety requirements Requirements
Prior material handling / warehouse experience (manufacturing/medical device environment a plus)
Comfortable following SOPs and working with documentation
Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Lead to oversee the organization, inventory, receiving, and daily staging of parts and materials for garage door, gate, and window installation projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring field technicians and installers have the correct materials, tools, and equipment ready for each job.
Key Responsibilities

Pull and stage all required parts and materials for installations the day before scheduled work.
Load materials, parts, tools, and equipment for installers and service technicians each morning.
Receive and inspect incoming doors, parts, and job materials.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic parts inventories.
Receive and organize materials for custom steel, wood, and steel door projects.
Unload and properly stage incoming steel doors and other large materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, workspace, and tool inventory.
Monitor and maintain company vehicle fuel levels.
Use company vehicles to pick up and deliver job materials as needed.
Secure and close the warehouse at the end of each business day.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Assist field personnel at jobsites when needed.
Identify material shortages or issues and communicate them promptly to the appropriate team members.
Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse, inventory, construction, installation, or field-service experience preferred.
Highly organized, reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented.
Strong time-management and multitasking skills.
Ability to make quick decisions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle.

Physical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move heavy materials up to 100 pounds.

Load, unload, and transport materials as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Up to 3 years of recent shipping, receiving, warehouse, or stockroom experience.
Retail stockroom experience will be considered.
Experience working in a paperless warehouse environment.
Experience with pick-and-pack operations.
Knowledge of domestic and international shipping practices.
Experience using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and WorldShip shipping systems.

Additional Requirements

Ability to read, understand, and follow company quality policies in English.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
