Job Description
Our client in Sorrento Valley is seeking a new member to join their dynamic warehouse team! They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse employee with a focus on freight handling.
Your responsibilities will play a crucial part in building pallets for POs, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods. A successful person will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation: $18 per hour
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm with some overtime during the weekend depending on operational needs.
Responsibilities:
• Build pallets according to PO specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in product placement.
• Handle freight with care, utilizing proper lifting techniques and buddy lifting technique.
• Perform various warehouse duties, including but not limited to standing, kneeling, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
• Ensure organization and cleanliness of warehouse by collaborating with team members.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on freight handling.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs, throughout the workday.
• Comfortable with long periods of standing, kneeling, reaching, and walking.
• Strong attention to detail to accurately assemble pallets according to specifications.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment; pallet jacks and forklifts.
