Vice President, Relationship Manager
Location: Southern California (Los Angeles office-based with regular local travel, no remote or hybrid)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Relationship Manager to join a high-performing commercial banking team. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of business and individual clients by originating and servicing a full range of loans and lines of credit. You’ll combine credit expertise with proactive business development, portfolio management, and consultative client advisory—while ensuring compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies.

This is an opportunity to inherit an established book of business and expand it through disciplined market coverage and relationship excellence.

What You’ll Do
Portfolio & Client Management
  • Originate, structure, and service business and individual loans/lines of credit.
  • Handle complex accounts and make credit decisions within assigned limits.
  • Provide financial advice and relationship management to current and prospective clients.

Business Development
  • Build pipeline and bring in 6–8 qualified accounts per year.
  • Call on potential and existing customers to develop new business and grow relationships.

Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to BSA, CIP, CDD, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements.
  • Identify and escalate red flags; maintain confidentiality of customer information.

Compensation & Bonus
  • Base Salary: Fixed base; no commission.
  • Bonus: Fully discretionary, based on overall contribution (production, new accounts, effort, peer comparison).

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced experience in commercial lending and credit analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of banking compliance and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop business and close deals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle for client visits.
