Field Service Engineer
Territory - PA, MD, Washington DC Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Products in medical device institutions within a specific geographic area or as defined per business needs.

Essential Job Functions (included but not limited to)
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance for our products
  • Perform installation and removal of all our products
  • Troubleshoot and correct problems with all our products in the field
  • Build strong relationships with users of the laser in assigned accounts
  • Support primarily the assigned territory and assist other territories as needed
  • Accurately complete relevant paperwork in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Provide phone support

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of field service experience in medical devices or similar multi-disciplinary equipment
  • Experience managing a territory, including time management within a designated area
  • Strong time management skills and a passion for continuous skill development
  • Knowledge of lasers and multidisciplinary equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers and sales teams while delivering excellent customer service


Environment and Conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to kneel, squat, and sit on the floor for periods of time
  • Work independently in a home office and customer environments

Work Demands
  • Adaptable to heavy travel demands (over 75% of the time)
  • Ability to multitask in a high-interruption environment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Make sound decisions
  • Maintain a strong customer-service orientation in all interactions

Working Relationships
Internal:
  • Daily contact with supervisor, dispatcher, sales, and other departments

External:
  • Daily contact with customers
