Position: Solder Technician III
Company: Leading Manufacturer – San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour (DOE)
Position Overview
A leading manufacturing company in San Diego is seeking an experienced Solder Technician III to join its production team. The ideal candidate will have advanced soldering skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex assembly drawings and schematics with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Apply established workmanship standards across all electronic assembly tasks.

Interpret and work from schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material.

Select and assemble electronic components (transistors, resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).

Mount and solder complex components onto chassis or panels using hand tools and soldering equipment.

Connect and route wires between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.

Inspect parts, perform basic tests, and ensure assemblies meet production specifications.

Perform precision soldering and inspection under a microscope when required.

Troubleshoot, rework, and repair defective units.

Maintain safety and cleanliness standards while handling tools and materials.

Complete production logs, reports, and documentation accurately.

Provide training and guidance to lower-level assemblers as needed.
Qualifications
-
Education: Vocational or Technical Certificate, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of related experience in soldering, electronics assembly, or manufacturing.

Strong understanding of electronic components and assembly techniques.

Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and work instructions.

Manual dexterity and proficiency with soldering tools, microscopes, and measuring instruments.

Excellent attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
