Sewing Technician-2nd Shift
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Finishing Technician is responsible for ensuring that merchandise is completed accurately, professionally, and according to Work Order specifications. This role includes tasks such as measuring, finishing, welding or sewing, assembling frames, applying grommets, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the finishing process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering top-tier workmanship.
Shift & Compensation:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30am-7:00pm

Pay: $18-$20/hour

Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately measure materials and verify dimensions align with Work Order specifications.

Follow detailed Finishing Instructions to ensure all products meet client expectations.

Sew or weld edges, hems, and pole pockets as specified in the Work Order.

Assemble and construct frames when required, based on product and client needs.

Apply grommets or other hardware components as directed.

Re-measure finished merchandise to confirm that final dimensions remain within specifications after finishing processes.

Accurately update the job status in the production management system using internal software tools.

Review all job details for accuracy before accepting a job and again before passing it to the next stage of production.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Participate in cross-training to expand capabilities and contribute to a flexible production team.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in finishing, fabrication, or related production environments is a plus.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with job tracking software/systems.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to read and interpret Work Orders and specifications.

Comfortable using hand tools, sewing machines, or welders.

Team player with good communication skills.

Able to lift and move materials as required (up to 50 lbs).
