Job Description

Position Summary:
The Sales Administrator is responsible for assisting the Sales Group with sales order entry, quotes, and handling returns (rejections and repairs) as assigned by the Sales Support Supervisor. The role includes ensuring quality customer service and performing other customer support duties, including filing, customer calls, and assisting the Sales Group during absences or vacations. Essential Functions:
  • Order Entry: Enter purchase orders as assigned and maintain responsibility for all customer requests, updating data as necessary.
  • Customer Interaction: Respond to all incoming calls for the designated area in a timely manner.
  • Quoting: Provide price and delivery information according to established departmental policies.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Interface with Production Control, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving to expedite and deliver products on time.
  • Customer Correspondence: Communicate with customers regarding order receipt, shipping information, and other necessary details.
  • Credit Issues: Refer any orders with potential credit issues to the Accounts Receivable Department.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.

  • Good organization and record-keeping skills.

Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years of contracts administration experience.
  • Experience with commercial aerospace and/or defense is a plus.
  • Sales order desk or marketing experience preferred.
  • MRP usage is helpful.
