Job Description

Under limited supervision and following standardized inspection procedures, performs a variety of operations including fault analyses, assembly, and performs test procedures for Repair Station.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
  • Processing of customer repair orders, including receiving inspection and generating the IR/RMA
  • paper work. Interfaces with customers, engineering, sales, and operations.
  • Organizes and maintains the Repair Station area.
  • Manages customer owned inventory.
  • Inputs and extracts data from ERP system.
  • Conducts initial testing and fault isolation procedures.
  • Following verbal instructions, or prescribed assembly methods and procedures, disassembles
  • and assembles, fits, reworks, and aligns parts into Company products using assembly jigs,
  • fixtures, or other holding devices in accordance with drawings (blueprints) and Components
  • Maintenance Manual (CMM). Performs a variety of inspection functions such as dimensional,
  • metallurgical and testing using complex tools such as CMM.
  • Operates drill presses, riveters, belt sanders, table grinders, staking, swaging, small stamping
  • machines and spot welder.
  • Visually inspects and checks alignment, contour, and functionality of parts using go-no go
  • gauges, calipers and indicators.
  • Maintains records of testing performed on parts and material.
  • Maintains log of scrap parts.
  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma
  • Must have 5 or more years testing and inspection experience.
  • Must be able to operate a fork lift.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of metallurgy, assembly, manufacturing and repair processes.
  • Must have good working knowledge of using a PC and programs such as excel and word.
