Receiving Clerk I
Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $20.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk I to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and complete carrier documentation
- Unload, unpack, and inspect materials for damage or contamination
- Verify quantities and product quality against purchase orders and invoices
- Accurately update receipt status in the ERP system
- Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain organized and timely stocking of incoming inventory
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and receiving procedures
- Support inventory control and maintain accurate records
- Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Cross-train in other supply chain functions as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Ability to meet deadlines and production goals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to learn technical processes through training
Preferred:
- 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience
- Experience with ERP systems (such as QAD)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in regulated environments
Preferred Knowledge (a plus, not required):
- cGMP regulations
- ISO 13485
- 21 CFR Part 820 and other global medical device standards
