Real Estate Construction Associate
Job Description
A premiere law firm with deep roots in the California Real Estate industry is seeking an associate attorney with at least 3 years' experience in real property and construction law to join their team. This position is based in either Century City or Orange County, CA, with a focus on construction-related transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including architecture and design agreements
- Drafting and revising commercial leases and sales agreements
- Closing purchase and sales transactions
- Reviewing titles and surveys
- Reviewing construction licenses and easements, development management agreements, and project management agreements, including engineering and consulting agreements
Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment while managing substantial individual responsibilities
- A sincere interest in expanding knowledge and growing professionally
- Experience in real estate acquisitions/dispositions, financing, and transactional due diligence strongly preferred
- Exposure to data center leasing preferred
- Genuine interest in the real estate industry, as demonstrated through the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, or similar organizations
- Multiple years of AmLaw 200 experience preferred
- A high level of academic achievement, including graduation from a top tier law school, preferred
- Admission to the California State Bar required
