Leading Medical Manufacturing is seeking to hire a Quality Engineering Tech!

Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities are the ongoing development and implementation of processes to improve product quality and the efficiency of the Quality Control department, as well as the calibration of company’s high use machine shop gages. Focus will be placed on assistance with the day-to-day operations in Quality Control as well as the Machine Shop by providing instructions and hands-on problem resolution.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and update programs for the Nikon iNexiv, Mahr Federal Profilometer, Hexagon Vision/CMM and any other automated inspection systems.
  • Calibrate high use gages such as pin/plug, go/no-go thread ring, and pressure gages etc.
  • Create and update Verification of Measurements Programs (VMP) documentation
  • Assist in the development of and perform Gage R & R’s.
  • Train personnel in inspection equipment use, product characteristics, attributes, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with the review of Change Orders (Drawings and documents relating to Quality Control), as required.
  • Research current trends and updates in Quality Control methods and request purchase of new equipment, as necessary.
  • Job duties are not limited to the areas of responsibility listed above. Specific responsibilities may be modified, and additional responsibilities may be assigned which are in line with the job summary at the discretion of company management. Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Experienced with various types of measuring equipment (i.e. micrometer, optical comparator, vision system and CNC etc.).
  • Programing experience of Vision Systems is highly desired. (iNexiv, Oasis and Seebrez is a plus)
  • Previous experience in the calibration of common machine shop gages
  • Previous cGMP/ISO experience required, preferably in a medical device or similar industry
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009) knowledge is highly desired.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Quality Control as a mechanical inspector.
  • Proficient with Windows applications (WORD, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous technical writing and Chance Order process experience.
  • Must be very detail oriented and have clear written and verbal communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Location: Escondido Ca.
Pay $23.00-$26.00/hr DOE
