Purchasing Coordinator (Leave of Absence)

Job Description
Coordinate the selection process to identify the best sources of supply, ensuring company meets requirements for quality, delivery, and service at the lowest overall cost. Assist in the purchase of goods and services including raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and specialized tooling. Set up and maintain compliance programs related to purchasing and logistics (e.g., REACH, RoHS, EAR, ITAR, C-TPAT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and company personnel as necessary.
- Process and review purchase requisitions, and prepare requests for quotation and purchase orders.
- Confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Review quotations and assist in selecting the appropriate source.
- Maintain the purchasing/inventory database and accurate purchasing records.
- Ensure timely resolution of all non-conforming issues with the appropriate supplier or internal personnel (engineering or manufacturing).
- Collaborate with internal team and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and availability of components to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Process engineering change releases.
- Process supplier acknowledgments.
- Expedite orders as appropriate.
- Follow up on job shortages and participate in shortage meetings.
- Assist purchasing and logistics representatives as required.
- Develop and maintain purchasing and logistics-related compliance programs.
- Manage and respond to customer disclosure/compliance requests.
Associate degree and 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
