Job Description
Industry leading organization in Carlsbad is seeking a Production Planner to continue developing their career in the medical device industry.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for expediting lots through the process, production activity control, work order planning and scheduling, and interdepartmental communications to support the Company’s order fulfillment and gross margin objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use schedules and dashboards to evaluate lot status for top priority products and work with each respective department to ensure needed actions are completed in a timely fashion to keep product moving through the process efficiently and effectively.
- Use ERP system to plan, schedule, execute and ensure on-time manufacturing of assigned product lines in support of commercial demand. • Releases production work orders for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehousing, and Quality functions to ensure that required materials are supplied on time to meet planned manufacturing schedule.
- Proactively notify Master Scheduler of any availability problems and opportunities to consume short-dated materials.
- Review and track metrics with the rest of the planning team such as schedule attainment, product availability, and OTIF
- Adhere to ISO, GMP, GDP, SOX, and supply chain best practices requirements and guidelines
- Participate in MRB, CAPA, and process improvement activities as needed.
- Assist with internal purchase of inventory material for all departments and perform additional duties as required.
