Production Line Lead
Job Description
A food manufacturing company in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an experienced Production Line Lead to join its team. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable leading production employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage production employees assigned to the work area.

Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all company food safety and quality policies.

Follow work orders, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure production, kitchen, and packaging procedures are followed correctly.

Support the batch traceability program by accurately completing production, kitchen, and packaging forms.

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Use Fishbowl software to print product labels.

Operate equipment only after completing the appropriate setup, pre-operation, and shutdown training.

Adjust and correct machine settings as needed.

Notify the Shift Lead or Supervisor of production problems, discrepancies, or equipment concerns.

Follow all company emergency procedures.

Promptly report food safety or quality concerns to authorized personnel.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, packaging, or a related environment is preferred.

Previous leadership or line-lead experience is preferred.

Knowledge of GMPs, food safety practices, and production documentation.

Ability to follow work orders, written procedures, and SOPs.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and guide production team members.

Dependable attendance and the ability to work the full assigned schedule.
