Job Description
We are looking to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing excellent healthcare to our client’s patients. This position will be responsible for working with a Physical Therapist to help patients to improve their physical health, movement function, and pain management.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely and under the direction of the physical therapist, treating patients with medical problems or other conditions that limit their ability to move or perform functional activities.
- Provides quality patient care and family training through evaluation, treatment planning, and the application of physical therapy procedures.
- Screens and evaluates patients to determine need for age specific tools, intervention, and referral initiation if needed.
- Instruct patients in routine and complex physical therapy exercises.
- Assists with modifying treatment plans according to patient needs and progress and developing appropriate discharge plans.
- Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services.
- Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patient, family, and caregivers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of full-time experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program is required.
- Current California Physical Therapist license is required.
- Current CPR and BLS certifications are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Customer service, verbal and written, and detail-oriented skills are required.
