Part-Time Shipping Specialist
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Schedule:
- Saturday: 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM (slight flexibility to start at 9:30 or 10:00 AM)
- Monday & Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time Shipping Specialist to join our shipping department. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate selection, preparation, and timely shipment of products while maintaining the safety and security of all contents. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer products for shipping according to company packaging guidelines.
- Generate individual shipping labels for customer orders.
- Verify order components to ensure accuracy.
- Unload and store supply orders for the shipping department.
- Organize and store merchandise properly on shelves.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of packaging materials.
- Perform bi-annual inventory cycle counts.
- Pull and store products in inventory as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior retail or product handling experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a production environment, including standing 95% of the time.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping processes.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work some nights, weekends, or holidays with advance notice.
Nice to Have:
- Experience operating a handheld device.
- Previous experience handling high-end luxury goods.
- Knowledge of Single SKU inventory systems.
