Job Description
Position Overview:
A reputable law firm in Irvine is seeking a motivated and experienced Paralegal to join their team. This position requires a professional who can support attorneys across various practice areas with a focus on litigation and/or transactional law, depending on the firm's current needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
Primary Duties:

Assist attorneys with a wide range of legal tasks including preparing, formatting, and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, contracts, and correspondence.

Support case management activities including trial preparation, discovery coordination, and document review.

Conduct legal and factual research using appropriate tools and resources.

Organize and maintain legal files and records, both physical and electronic.

Manage legal calendars including court dates, filing deadlines, and client appointments.

Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and external vendors as needed.

Provide administrative and clerical support including filing, billing coordination, and document tracking.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a legal setting.

Bachelor’s degree and/or completion of a paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program.

Solid understanding of California civil procedure, court filing protocols, and legal terminology.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight.
Preferred Skills:

Prior experience with e-filing in California state and federal courts.

Familiarity with legal software platforms such as Clio, Relativity, or similar tools.

Bilingual in Spanish or another language is a plus, though not required.
