Job Description

Leading Aerospace precision machined components and mechanical assemblies developer and manufacturer has immediate need for Manufacturing Manager for mechanical assembly operations.  Will organize, plan, control, and supervise employees engaged in the assembly of company products in a high mix, low volume environment. Ensures that production is completed on schedule and in accordance with specification and quality standards. Works with production control, production engineering, and engineering to resolve production problems and improve techniques. Plans and supervises employees engaged in the assembly, of company products according to planning and production control documents. Establishes and monitors production schedules, volume and shipments against targets to ensure that commitments are met; resolves production problems and coordinates and expedites the completion of special orders. Monitors the inventory and ordering of production materials, tools, and supplies and ensures that the assembly cells are maintained to provide for a smooth production flow and optimization of costs. Participates in the development of new and more effective processes and production techniques and processes. Assists production engineering in the review of blueprints and engineering drawings to determine feasibility of assembly. Coordinates with quality assurance to maintain standards of quality within the organization and conducts on-site inspection of work completed or in process to ensure conformance to specifications. Coordinates the training of assigned employees in new techniques and to improve flexibility and enhance the capabilities of the organization. Monitors SPC system and participates in SPC Review Board, determining corrective action and critical characteristics.
