CNC Lathe Machinist
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Pay: $25–$28 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Description
We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a clean, well-equipped precision machining shop in Carlsbad, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up and run CNC lathe jobs from start to finish while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities

Perform independent CNC lathe setups, including loading programs, setting tools, and dialing in fixtures

Set up and run jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications

Inspect first articles and make precise offsets and adjustments

Troubleshoot setup and machining issues to keep production running efficiently

Collaborate with programming and quality teams to improve setups and workflow

Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards

5+ years of CNC setup experience (lathe experience required)

Strong knowledge of G-code, tooling, and workholding strategies

Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
