Job Description
As a Member Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service through transactions, account maintenance, and needs-based sales. You will uphold the organization's ethos of "People Caring about People" while fostering strong member relationships and contributing to the credit union’s success.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Member Transactions & Account Servicing:
- Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Provide guidance on certificate strategies and options based on member needs.
- Ensure accurate balancing of general ledgers and inventory items as assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Cross-sell and refer members to appropriate departments, such as New Account Opening, Loan Officers, and Wealth Management.
- Execute branch and credit union business plans, including member outreach initiatives.
- Deliver personalized, professional service to exceed member expectations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all member requests.
- Educate members on financial solutions and convenience options to enhance their banking experience.
- Identify and refer lending and investment opportunities to appropriate team members.
- Achieve individual performance goals in alignment with branch and credit union objectives.
- Utilize sound judgment in handling member requests and exceptions, ensuring proper documentation.
- Represent the credit union with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
- Process transactions with accuracy and efficiency while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
- Take ownership of researching and resolving transaction discrepancies, proactively communicating with affected members.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all cash handling, account maintenance, and member service protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform duties in alignment with the credit union’s values and culture.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
