Manufacturing Transfer Specialist Position Summary
The Manufacturing Transfer Specialist is responsible for executing manufacturing process transfers and launch activities for Transfusion Medicine products from existing manufacturing sites to alternate locations. This role ensures project milestones are met to support business objectives and maintain uninterrupted product supply. The position partners cross-functionally to align transfer plans, validation activities, and documentation while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The individual serves as a key liaison between sending and receiving sites to enable successful, on-time transfers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and author technical transfer deliverable checklists to ensure all prerequisites are met prior to verification, validation, and product launch activities.

  • Ensure receiving-site protocols and reports align with approved manufacturing transfer plans.

  • Author and update manufacturing transfer plans and final reports for alternate manufacturing sites.

  • Coordinate and support transfer and validation lots to ensure all requirements are met.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between current and receiving manufacturing locations.

  • Ensure timely distribution and version control of all transfer-related documentation.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of transfer and launch activities.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Technical Transfer, Operations, or Product Development/Support within a GMP manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a technical or operational role.

  • Strong project execution skills with the ability to meet aggressive timelines.

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally in a regulated (GMP) environment.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Predominantly site-based role.

  • Less than 5% domestic or international travel required.
