Job Description
Position Summary: Performs short cycle assembly of electronic and/or electro-mechanical products and subassemblies with moderate complexity under the direction of the Assembly Lead.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble and rework electronic and electro-mechanical precision assemblies and subassemblies.
- Work with micro-switches, use oscilloscopes, power supplies, and perform electrical testing.
- Read detailed blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Complete soldering and wiring as required for product completion.
- Notify the supervisor immediately of any shortages or inferior parts.
- Perform quality work, with some inspection checks by the Lead person or Quality Control.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety principles during work assignments.
- Become familiar with Adams Rite Aerospace designs, manufacturing processes, and standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Role Qualifications:
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of electronic theory.
- Ability to read detailed blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Good dexterity; ability to use hand tools and simple test equipment.
- Soldering Certification to J Standard.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, fingers, and arms.
Education and Experience:
- At least three years of experience as an Electro-mechanical Assembler.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
- Work in an air-conditioned and heated office.
- High noise level.
- Work on the factory floor within the same building as the office, with potential exposure to heat, fumes, and odors.
