Job Description
We are seeking a mechanical/plumbing engineer with 5 years of experience engineering commercial projects. Our MEP department provides consulting mechanical/plumbing engineering services related to vertical building construction in coordination with in-house architects, electrical and structural engineers.
Candidate must be able to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of mechanical/plumbing engineering principles to prepare construction drawing and specifications for plan check and permitting. Engineered systems include but are not limited to HVAC and Plumbing.
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong leadership, interpersonal communication and interacting with clients.
- Experience implementing engineered designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP to produce contract documents.
- Experience with building systems design for HVAC and Plumbing.
- Industrial knowledge and experience a plus.
- Candidate may serve as project manager for projects where mechanical/plumbing engineering is the primary discipline.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently on MP drawings from schematic design through permit submittal.
- Ability to coordinate with clients.
- B.S. in Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years’ experience in consulting engineering industry.
- A valid California PE license preferred.
- Excellent communications skills.
