Job Description
This position is responsible for being able to locate and safely pull material, issuing materials to the manufacturing floor, processing materials in ERP system, knowing proper tagging, and understanding proper packaging technique

PAY RATE:
$20/hr - $22/hr
SCHEDULE:
1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm

- Performs Quality Controls on incoming Material by following SOPs.
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles.
- Organizes the Stock Room.
- Performs daily and quarterly cycle counts.
- Applies common sense understanding to carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Demonstrates professional behavior that supports team effort and enhances team behavior, performance, and productivity.
- Understands and follows posted work rules and procedures.
- Works with shipping and warehouse team to complete orders on time.
- Additional responsibilities for Sr. Material Handler:
- Tracks inventory supply levels and regularly submit material shortages to purchasing team.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure material is correctly labeled, allocated, scrapped, issued to work orders, etc.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials
- Keeps a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Trains team members on performing material transactions and cycle counts
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a material handler
- Strong computer skills, including experience utilizing computers in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions.
- 3-years’ experience working in a distribution environment involving receiving, returns, inventory, traffic, and shipping.
- Experience with QAD enterprise software or similar ERP systems preferred
