Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $63,000–$65,000 per year
Position Summary
The Assembly Supervisor leads daily assembly operations, ensuring orders are completed accurately, efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This hands-on leadership role directs Assembly personnel, monitors quality and production, maintains department documentation, and supports the Department Manager with daily operations and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily assembly schedules, staffing, and workload assignments.
- Monitor production, order status, quality, and department performance.
- Perform first- and last-piece inspections and support Final QC as needed.
- Manage ERP transactions, work orders, inventory records, substitutions, and non-conforming materials.
- Maintain production schedules, work planners, travelers, reports, and department documentation.
- Monitor equipment and preventative maintenance; perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Train and cross-train employees on assembly processes and procedures.
- Maintain work instructions, visual controls, and training materials.
- Support Engineering initiatives, including ECNs, R&D, and Safe Launches.
- Enforce safety, quality, housekeeping, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years of manufacturing supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to follow and enforce quality and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- ISO 9001 knowledge is a plus.
- ERP and production scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation is a plus.
