Job Description
Quality Assurance Inspector (QA Inspector) – Contract (8 Months)
Location: Vista, CA
Pay: $29.53/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, either 8:00 AM – 4:40 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:40 PM (whichever works best for the candidate)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector (QA Inspector) for an 8-month contract role. This position plays a critical part in ensuring product quality through laboratory testing, packaging inspections, and cross-functional quality assurance support.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Services
-
Perform lab testing on raw materials, WIP, and finished goods (microbiological, chemical, physical, and sensory testing)

Maintain lab supply inventory and chemical safety protocols

Coordinate third-party testing, including sample collection, submission, and results entry
Packaging Quality Control

Develop and implement incoming material inspection programs

Conduct packaging integrity, degradation, and exposure testing

Track and troubleshoot scrap rates and packaging inefficiencies
-
Maintain databases and provide guidance on packaging standards to production
Quality Assurance

Support and escalate quality issues and assist with root cause investigations

Analyze trends, prepare reports, and review batch records

Assist with GMP setups, compatibility/stability trials, and Certificates of Analysis
Other Duties

Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams

Write and revise SOPs and work instructions

Ensure clean, safe, and organized lab and workspace

Participate in cross-functional quality system improvements
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in QA, laboratory testing, or packaging inspection preferred
-
Familiarity with GMP standards and quality systems
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and in a team setting
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Material Science, or related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a production or manufacturing environment.
