Employment Type: Contract to Hire Industry: Machine Operator Job Number: 20339 Pay Rate: $23-$32/hour based on experience

Job Description

A Manual Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing aspect of the organization. Primary responsibility is to adjust machined parts to meet blueprint specifications using Manual equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
  1. Takes machined metal component parts and completes its manufacturing process using Manual Machines when required by blueprint.
  2. Checks daily schedule (Dispatch List) to ensure what job(s) need to complete for the day.
  3. Checks Manual equipment used to ensure effectiveness. (Drills, Drilling banks, etc.)  
  4. Performs constant quality checks for conformance to blueprint specifications and planning documents.
  5.  Works under limited supervision.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  
  1. Requires 1 to 3 years on-the-job machine shop experience.
  2. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
  3. Proficient in spoken and written English
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  2. Must be able to use basic measuring instruments. (Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gauges, etc.)
  3. Must be able to use basic Mathematics and Decimals.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Works in a factory environment and is exposed to dirt, heat, grit, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust.
  2. Requires close hand/eye coordination, high manual dexterity.
  3. Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require special physical requirements including standing, walking, bending over, crouching, pushing, pulling, repetitive foot control, repetitive use of hands, grasping, fine dexterity, and occasional lifting of material up to 50 pounds.
