Swiss Machinist
Job Description
You Wwll be responsible with following prescribed machine shop methods and procedures, while running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously. In addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products under limited supervision.
$25 - $32/hr
6:00am - 2:30pm Mon - Fri + Sat OT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned
- Load, unload material and set-up assigned multi-axis, multi-spindle CNC Swiss Screw machine(s) to manufacture parts to drawing requirements.
- Keep a minimum of 2-3 machines running throughout the work shift.
- Maintain visual perception of finished product and the ability to recognize an out of tolerance surface finish, burrs or any other machining defects. Maintain a high attention to detail.
- Ability to identify various types of cutting tools and know how to properly use them.
- Recognize broken and /or worn tooling.
- Upload and download CNC programs to specific machines utilizing DNC system.
- Maintain production goals through attention to the machining process from start to finish.
- Perform minor CNC program editing and offset adjustments to produce all parts to drawing requirements.
- Uses precision instruments to check and inspect own parts to drawing requirements.
- Work jobs in the order of current dispatch list priorities.
- Understand and adhere to all company safety requirements.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance as directed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or group leader.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years verifiable on the job experience
