Position Summary
Marquee Legal is seeking a motivated and skilled Legal Recruiter to join our growing team. The Legal Recruiter will focus exclusively on identifying, recruiting, and building relationships with top legal talent for contract, project, and direct hire roles. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of law firms and legal departments by connecting them with the best attorneys and legal support professionals in the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Candidate Sourcing:
o Identify and recruit top legal talent, including attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries, legal assistants, and other legal professionals.
o Utilize job boards, social media platforms, referrals, networking events, and other creative sourcing methods.
• Candidate Screening and Evaluation:
o Conduct in-depth interviews with candidates to assess skills, experience, and career goals.
o Evaluate candidates' qualifications, legal expertise, and cultural fit for client opportunities.
• Talent Pipeline Management:
o Build and maintain a robust pipeline of legal professionals to meet the ongoing needs of Marquee Legal’s clients.
o Establish long-term relationships with candidates to support their career development.
• Collaboration with Business Development Team:
o Work closely with the business development team to understand client needs and job specifications.
o Present qualified candidates to clients and coordinate the interview and hiring process.
• Market Knowledge:
o Stay informed about trends in the legal market, including demand for specific roles, salary benchmarks, and emerging practice areas.
• Administrative Support:
o Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) for compliance and tracking purposes.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of legal recruitment experience is required.
• Preferred Background: Previous experience working in a legal department or law firm is preferred but not required.
• Location: Carlsbad, CA
• Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with candidates.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple recruitment efforts simultaneously.
o Knowledge of legal roles and terminology to effectively match candidates with client needs.
• Technology: Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools is a plus.
