Job Title: Contract Attorney – Business Litigation
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $80-90/hr
A well-established boutique law firm in Orange County is seeking a contract attorney to assist with complex business litigation matters. The firm represents a wide range of corporate clients in high-stakes disputes and has a long-standing reputation for success in trial litigation in both state and federal courts.
Potential cases involve business torts and unfair business practices, contract disputes, bankruptcy litigation, real estate litigation (easements, environmental issues, title disputes), partnership/shareholder disputes, bad faith insurance claims, employment and labor law, and energy law.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with complex litigation involving multiple parties, witnesses, and extensive documentation
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Participate in trial preparation, including deposition support and witness outlines
- Help evaluate and manage both plaintiff and defense cases
- Must be licensed and admitted to practice in California
- Must be admitted to practice in California federal courts
- Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
- 3+ years of business litigation experience
- Trial or trial-prep experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
