Location: Orange County, CA
Salary: $210,000-$240,000
Job Description:
The Orange County office of a prestigious law firm is searching for an associate to join their expanding Land Use practice.
An attorney in this position will work closely with a team of other lawyers, representing developers, land owners, and investors from early planning stages through eventual project approval.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience with land use and natural resource issues, including conducting due diligence, securing entitlements, and navigating environmental review processes.
- Prior involvement in land use or CEQA-related litigation is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks involving natural resources, wetlands, endangered species, the California Coastal Commission, BCDC, the Subdivision Map Act, and/or the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) is preferred.
- Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
- Must be comfortable collaborating within a team while managing substantial responsibilities independently.
- Proven dedication to collaborative work environments and delivering excellent client service.
- Strong academic performance.
- Admission to the State Bar of California.
