Litigation Defense Attorney
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of pre-trial case management, including case evaluation and investigation, client communication, discovery, and settlement negotiation
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed
- California Bar admission
- 3+ years of litigation experience required (trial experience preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of discovery rules and civil litigation process
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
