Kitchen Assistant – Vista, CA (Temporary Assignment)
Pay: $24.88/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:10 PM
Length: This assignment will end on December 31, 2025

Our client, a leading manufacturer in Vista, provides free daily lunches to their employees and is looking for an extra hand to assist in their on-site kitchen and lounge!
Job Summary
As the Kitchen Assistant, you’ll help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for employees. You’ll support daily lunch service, maintain cleanliness in the café and lounge areas, and assist with food deliveries from the catering company.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years recent experience in a kitchen or food-handling environment.
- Valid Food Handlers Card.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Friendly, professional, and dependable attitude.
- Ability to commit to temporary position, ending December 31, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve catered food and ensure each shift has lunch available.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in café, lounge, and picnic areas.
- Follow daily task and checklist assignments.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with daily food deliveries and verify quality standards.
- Keep coffee, tea, and snack areas stocked.
- Assist with food prep and proper storage following temperature guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
- Taste-test food for quality.
- Support company events and guest visits.
- Order café supplies when needed (in Kitchen Supervisor’s absence).
- Other duties as assigned.
