Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the timely, safe, and accurate handling of materials, and the related transactions in ERP system, in support of production, quality, R&D, and administrative functions.
Requirements
- Accurately and completely stage materials for production work orders; this includes, but need not be limited to, pull and stage materials, transport materials between departments, transact issued and returned materials in the computerized inventory control system
- Timely transport and store quarantined and released materials throughout the warehouse or other designated locations
- Put away released raw materials and manufactured products in the proper locations and temperatures, and ensure immediate segregation of non-conforming materials into quarantine locations
- Properly handle and store hazardous materials and follow federal and state regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous and infectious substances
- Assist with the weekly cycle count program by verifying counts and reconciling discrepancies under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor
- Accurately perform transactions using computerized inventory system
- Operate each material handling equipment in the manner for which it has been designed. Operate all material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Follow all standard operating procedures and GMP and SOX guidelines for all designated functions
- Adhere to all safety instructions and guidelines
- Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required
Position Requirements Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma Preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment performing various warehousing procedures utilizing material handling equipment
- Previous experience in an FDA-regulated environment highly preferred
Skills – Technical
- Strong working knowledge of computerized inventory control system (ERP system)
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate level computer skills with word processor and spreadsheets
- Familiar with BOMs, JIT, and FIFO concepts
- Ability to use material handling equipment such as pallet racks, hand trucks and motorized lifts

- Must be a hands-on, self-directed, organized and conscientious individual
- Complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner
- Must be able to think and work both tactically and strategically to provide financial and operational needs to business
- Effective analytical problem solving, judgment and decision making skills are required
- Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment
- Ability to read, write and analyze complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, customer inquiries or complaints as well as communicate effectively both orally and in writing with management, peers and individuals
- Ability to work effectively, exhibit a professional manner and establish constructive working relationships
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
