Job Title: Human Resource Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: General Manager
Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for fostering a work environment that attracts, empowers, develops, rewards, and retains a dynamic workforce in compliance with state and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the HR Administrator.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and recommend best practices.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage talent acquisition, including recruiting, offer letters, background checks, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Lead employee relations and retention efforts, including team building, recognition programs, and culture development.
  • Administer employee leaves and accommodations (FMLA, ACA).
  • Oversee performance management systems.
  • Handle investigations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
  • Manage compensation analysis, employment agreements, and contracts.
  • Maintain job descriptions and pay scales.
  • Develop succession planning programs.
  • Administer employee benefits and manage renewals.
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Coordinate annual employee and manager training and certifications.
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety team to ensure workplace safety.
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and OSHA reporting.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources Management; SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and benefits administration.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
