As a Human Resource Manager for Retail Stores, your primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the human resources in support of our retail organization. Your role involves partnering with Retail Leaders to manage recruitment, employee relations, labor law compliance, benefits administration, payroll, transitions, and performance management processes. Below is a detailed job description for a Human Resource Manager for Retail Stores:

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • In partnership with Retail Leaders, develop and implement human resources policies and procedures for the retail organization
  • Recruiting Process Management, support retail store leadership with the recruitment and selection process, including but not limited to creating job descriptions, management of job postings, sourcing candidates, interviewing, hiring employees and all related paperwork
  • Provide training,  support and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, performance coaching and perform work place investigations as needed
  • Manage performance management processes, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and career development
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off and other fringe benefit programs
  • Develop and conduct training programs for managers and employees on various HR-related topics, such as diversity and inclusion, sexual harassment prevention training, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Monitor employee morale and engagement and develop strategies to improve employee retention and satisfaction
  • Manage employee discipline and termination processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounting, Finance and Operations, to support the overall goals of the retail organization

 

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on retail or related industries; at least 2 years people management experience.
  • Human Resources Certification required SHRM, PHR or similar
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems
  • Must thrive in a fast pace working environment and perform with a sense of urgency

  • The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus, salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position
