Human Resources Coordinator
Schedule: 4/10 Workweek (Monday – Thursday)
Location: Oceanside
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing HR team. This role plays a vital part in implementing HR best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR functions, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist employees and supervisors with interpreting HR policies and procedures.

Support the recruitment and hiring process: order background and drug checks, coordinate with staffing agencies, and draft offer letters.

Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.

Assist with planning and delivering new employee orientations.

Maintain confidential personnel, benefit, and I-9 files, as well as records of personnel changes.

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance for new hires.

Conduct exit interviews and support the offboarding process.

Perform HRIS data entry and initiate payroll changes for new hires and employee status updates.

Generate and process periodic HR reports.

Participate in investigations related to employee complaints or concerns.

Update internal communications, including bulletin boards and digital slides, to promote employee morale and motivation.

Respond to employment verification and reference check requests.

Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.

Maintain accurate training records and assist employees with training registration.

Ensure company bulletin boards are updated with the latest Henry Schein compliance posters, and state and federal labor law posters.

Assist in auditing employee records and HR processes to ensure legal compliance.

Plays a pivotal role in employee safety by conducting safety tours, maintaining safety plus website, ensures completion of safety training and maintains employee evacuation rosters.

Participates as an active member of the Core Safety Group which includes agenda preparation and maintaining minutes.

Distributes mail and employee paychecks.

Collaborate with HR Manager to coordinate company sponsored employee events including birthday celebrations, company picnic and holiday party.

General support and administrative assistance for General Manager.

Perform special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
-
High School Diploma or equivalent/some college preferred.

1+ years of experience in office/clerical support.

HR experience preferred
Schedule:
Enjoy a 4-day workweek (Monday through Thursday, 10 hours/day), providing better work-life balance and a long weekend every week.
Pay$24-$25/hr
