Job Description
Works independently to perform tasks necessary for department. This may include assembly and maintenance of department equipment and/ or parts. Essential Functions:
- Assembly of equipment and parts to support production of product in a timely manner.
- Uses hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers, rulers, and basic electrical equipment.
- Works on any project in the department, demonstrating superior quality/quantity and skillfulness to employees in lower classifications.
- Notifies supervision of shortages or inferior parts immediately.
- Responsible for highest quality work. Completes inspection of own work prior to submitting Quality Control.
- Organizes and cleans work area at the end of shift or upon completion of work order.
- Assists and instructs personnel of lower classification.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is high. The individual will be seated out on the factory floor where there may be exposure to machine noise and fumes.
