Position: Escrow Officer / Floater
 

We are seeking an experienced Escrow Officer / Floater to manage real estate escrow transactions and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate escrow activities, including title clearing, document preparation (CD’s/HUD’s), fund disbursement, wire initiation, check cutting, file balancing, policy issuance, and contract settlement.
  • Prepare all necessary closing documents to ensure title insurance issuance at closing.
  • Review and resolve title defects, liens, judgments, claims, bankruptcies, etc.
  • Record, prepare, and initiate documents using RamQuest software.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Examine records (deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, and maps) to verify property ownership and encumbrances, and confirm legal property descriptions.

  • A collaborative team player who mentors closing assistants.
  • Skilled in mathematical calculations and comfortable contacting lenders, tax authorities, and others to gather necessary information.
  • Efficient at managing multiple priorities with a focus on closing dates and accuracy.
  • Professional, with strong representation of the company both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a licensed escrow officer.
  • Working knowledge of RamQuest and File Scan; Close Simple is a plus.
  • Proven record of meeting/exceeding goals and growing a book of business.
  • Current Notary for the State of California (preferred but not required).
  • Comprehensive understanding of standard real estate settlement processes.
  • ‘Do it now’ mentality with excellent follow-up and communication skills.
  • Strong quality-conscious approach, taking pride in well-executed work.
  • Skilled at managing high volumes of transactions in a paperless environment.
  • Ability to handle challenging customers professionally and resolve closing issues swiftly.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and proficiency in closing software and MS Word.
