Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this position, you will assist our experienced dentists with chair-side procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our patients. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient operatory environment, supporting the overall success of the dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform support chair-side procedures under the supervision of licensed dentists, following all safety and procedural protocols.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure a clean and safe operatory for each patient.
- Assist with patient preparation, including recording patient histories and taking x-rays within scope of licensure.
- Provide oral health education and guidance to patients and their caregivers to promote good dental hygiene practices.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment area to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Manage appointment flow and ensure smooth patient transitions throughout their visit.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience / Training: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Certification from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current state dental assistant license.
- Evidence of satisfactory completion of a board-approved course in coronal polishing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Sealant certification.
- Experience in providing oral health education to patients and caregivers.
