Job Description


Position Overview: A Deburr Operator plays a key role in ensuring the quality of the metal parts produced in the manufacturing process. The main task involves removing burrs, cleaning, and blasting metal parts that have been machined at CNC workstations.

Shift: 5:00am - 3:30PM, 4/10 schedule

Optional OT 1/2 days on Friday

$17 - $18/hr

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Remove burrs from metal components as per the work order specifications upon arrival at the deburring station.
  • Review the daily schedule (Dispatch List) to determine priority jobs for completion.
  • Inspect and operate equipment used for deburring, including drills and sanding machines.
  • Clean and/or sandblast parts as needed.
  • Consistently perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specified standards and requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant machine shop experience is required.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Competency in using measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
  • Able to follow both written and verbal instructions in English.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • The role is based in a factory setting, where exposure to dirt, heat, noise, fumes, dust, sparks, and grit is common.
  • Requires excellent hand-eye coordination and high manual dexterity.
  • Physical activities involved include standing, walking, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, and using foot controls repetitively. Regular use of hands for grasping and fine motor tasks is essential, along with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
