Job Description
Summary: We are looking for an Association Manager to oversee operations in compliance with the Davis Stirling Act, Civil Code, and the Association’s policies. This role requires managing homeowner relations, ensuring legal and financial compliance, and maintaining community harmony.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations in accordance with laws and the Association's policies.
- Act as a liaison between the Association Board of Directors and homeowners, mediating conflicts.
- Oversee annual budget preparation and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Review and approve vendor invoices; manage contracts and capital expenditure projects.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure standards are met.
- Track homeowner delinquency and oversee collections according to policy.
- Organize and attend Board and Association meetings, preparing agendas and ensuring quorum.
- Resolve emergency situations promptly and manage insurance claims.
- Oversee landscape and maintenance matters and conduct regular community inspections.
- Handle compliance violations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Manage key distribution, parking passes, and clubhouse reservations.
- Oversee insurance policies to ensure coverage and avoid lapses.
- Maintain Association files and records.
- Stay current with CACM or CAI certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Legal Expertise: Proficient in the Davis Stirling Act and Civil Code; ability to advise board members on legal compliance.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for drafting letters, notices, and meeting minutes; capable of presenting to large audiences.
- Time Management: Excellent organization and prioritization skills; able to multitask and work independently.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
- Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain relationships.
Skills:
- Decision-Making: Ability to make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
- Self-Management: Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility: Ability to walk and assess community areas, including landscape and facilities.
- Dexterity: Finger dexterity for keyboarding; ability to sit and focus for long periods.
- Transportation: Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid California driver’s license.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid California driver's license with compliant insurance.
- Preferably CCAM or CAI certified; required within six months of employmen
