Education and Experience
  • Education:
    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Work Experience:
    • Five to seven years of commercial lending experience.
    • Broad knowledge and experience in banking operations, products, and services.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional movement around the office to access files and equipment.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of computers and office machinery (keyboard, calculator, copier, scanner, printer).
  • Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcribing, and extensive reading.
  • Regular verbal communication with employees, clients, and vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Loan and Deposit Management:
    • Manage overall loan and deposit relationships with customers.
    • Grow revenues through prospecting new business and expanding existing relationships.
    • Recommend loans for approval within assigned limits and manage credit quality.
  • Customer Relationship Development:
    • Develop and implement effective calling programs for existing customers.
    • Source prospects and develop new customer relationships.
    • Retain and expand relationships with existing customers.
    • Cross-sell appropriate bank products and services.
  • Customer Support:
    • Resolve customer problems and liaise with other departments for optimal service.
    • Manage overall customer profitability and satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Stay current on the bank’s lending policies and procedures.
    • Participate in community and CRA activities to promote the company’s brand.
    • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering).
  • Training and Development:
    • Actively participate in required corporate and business line training.
    • Understand account opening procedures and suspicious activity referral processes.
    • Work with customers to comprehend their normal account activity.
