We're Hiring: Business Development Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
We’re a leading architectural and engineering firm in Southern California, committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and help drive our next phase of growth.
About the Role
This is not your typical sales position. As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with both our technical and production teams. You'll collaborate directly with leadership, engage with our production staff, and interact with clients to ensure a seamless experience from initial meeting through project closeout.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

Client Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Plan Review: Evaluating architectural and engineering drawings to ensure alignment with client expectations.

Proposal Writing & Pricing: Preparing detailed, competitive proposals tailored to client needs and project requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with production teams to draft and issue change orders when project scopes evolve.

Sales & Goal Management: Managing and reporting on sales pipelines, pursuing growth targets, and ensuring strategic objectives are met.

Contract Scope Review: Carefully reviewing client contracts to ensure the scope of work reflects our proposals and negotiated terms.

You have experience in business development, preferably within the architectural, engineering, or construction industries.

You are comfortable reading and interpreting construction drawings, architectural plans, and technical scopes.

You possess strong proposal writing skills and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to pricing and scoping work.

You are highly organized and able to manage multiple proposals, client meetings, and internal communications simultaneously.

You are collaborative and proactive, working closely with leadership and internal teams to drive projects forward.

You are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

You are driven by results and enjoy tracking progress toward ambitious sales goals.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a professional services environment.

Familiarity with architectural and engineering documentation is strongly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
