Teller Position Overview
Provide exceptional customer service as a teller by assisting clients with account services and transactions. Promote banking products and support branch teams as needed to ensure smooth teller operations.
Key Teller Responsibilities
- Engage clients in teller interactions to recommend banking products and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure a consistently excellent experience for all branch visitors, serving as a welcoming and knowledgeable teller.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and effectively, focusing on customer satisfaction at the teller line.
- Process a variety of teller transactions, including:
- Client transactions
- Debit card services
- Online banking assistance
- Check orders
- Cash orders and shipping (if applicable)
- Safe deposit box services (if applicable)
- Maintain teller compliance with regulations, including:
- Bank Secrecy Act
- Customer Information Program
- OFAC
- Participate in teller training and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Address operational issues and escalate as necessary for efficient teller operations.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and organized work environment within the teller area.
- Attend regularly and perform additional teller tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant teller software.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills essential for teller duties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enhance client interactions.
- Effective time management and organization for efficient teller services.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in teller transactions.
- Knowledge of banking products, regulations, and particularly BSA.
- Experience in cash handling, crucial for teller responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months of branch banking experience preferred.
- Minimum six months of cash handling experience required, preferably in a teller role.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
