Job Description


Under general supervision, the Electronic Assembler/Solderer performs electronic equipment and wire harness assembly as well as solder operations in accordance with complex manufacturing specifications, schematics and process instructions. Produce products with high quality and accuracy while maintaining documentation as required.
6 Month Contract
Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4PM with some OT

Pay: $18-21/hr (depending on experience)

Location: Buena Park, CA, USA

Primary Responsibilities
  • · Using assembly instructions/schematics/drawings/process specifications and various small hand tools, builds a variety of complex electromechanical equipment assemblies to meet requirements
  • · Builds complex wire harnesses using equipment wire lists and schematics
  • · Completes quality assembly work in a timely manner
  • · Using soldering irons, solders assemblies in accordance with process instructions
  • · Visually inspects assemblies in progress to ensure compliance to specifications, assembly drawings and schematics
  • · Fills out and maintains necessary paperwork. Ensures paperwork is compliant with quality instructions and manufacturing job instructions
  • · Actively participates in the Quality Improvement System
  • · Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged
  • · Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education equivalent
  • At least two (2) or more years of experience in electromechanical assembly
  • Completion of solder school certification in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or equivalent certificate
  • Ability to follow demonstrated assembly methods and techniques
  • Ability to successfully assemble various configurations of final assembly and subassembly parts and components
  • Ability to read and follow manufacturing and process specifications, engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Previous experience with small hand tools and soldering irons
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of IPC/WHMA-A-620: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies CIS certification
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Technical degree in electronics or equivalent experience
