Electronics Test Technician Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, the Electronics Test Technician sets up and performs standardized tests on electro-mechanical power distribution systems, components, and relays in accordance with published procedures. This role is responsible for recording and interpreting test data, maintaining accurate documentation, and troubleshooting test setups and equipment when necessary.

Shift: Mon-Fri 3:30pm-11:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, and test procedures

  • Set up and perform standardized electronic tests on electro-mechanical components, parts, or relays according to established procedures

  • Troubleshoot test setups and equipment issues; implement corrective actions as needed

  • Record and interpret test results according to customer specifications

  • Route failed units to the appropriate department for further evaluation

  • Maintain all required test logs and documentation

  • Verify work order travelers against incoming parts to ensure paperwork accuracy prior to testing

  • Complete required documentation to maintain lot integrity

  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve issues related to setups, procedures, and testing

  • Utilize test equipment to perform functional testing

  • Troubleshoot final products

  • Provide direction or training to other technicians as needed

  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives

  • Support Lean and 6S initiatives

  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and adhere to company ethics and business conduct policies

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree (two-year technical degree) or 5+ years of equivalent technical experience

  • 5+ years of experience as an electronic technician working with electro-mechanical assemblies, PCB components, parts, or relays using standardized test equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving failed components, systems, or test equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics

  • IPC-A-610 solder certification or equivalent J-STD certification

  • Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes (SMT, through-hole, etc.)

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, data entry)

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • Aerospace industry experience

  • ERP system experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, team-oriented environment
