Manufacturing Lead Operator
Location: San Marcos, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
Pay: $24/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Lead Operator to oversee a production work center within our manufacturing department. The Lead Operator will coordinate daily activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and provide leadership and technical support to a team of operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all safety and environmental requirements are met by team members.

Maintain quality standards and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Manage daily operations, including scheduling, attendance, training, and production goals.

Oversee material movement and ensure production areas are fully supplied.

Provide troubleshooting assistance and coordinate with Maintenance or Engineering as needed.

Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Monitor production performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Assign and conduct training for operators; provide input on performance evaluations.

Manage consumable inventories and order supplies as needed.

Operate machinery, forklift, or other material handling devices as required.

Support team operations directly as needed to meet production goals.
Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read and comprehend schedules, work orders, and instructions.

Basic math skills for measuring and verifying product specifications.

Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, data entry).

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and adapt to changing production needs.

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Must be able to wear PPE (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
2+ years of experience as a production lead or supervisor in a machine-based manufacturing environment.

Forklift operation experience or certification.
