Quality Assurance Inspector 2nd shift
Job Description
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Inspector I is to perform inspections that support GenMark Dx’s manufacturing operations, including raw material and final kit assembly inspections. This role requires a foundational understanding of inspection AQLs, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Clean Room protocols, and compliance within ISO/FDA-regulated environments. Success in this position relies on attention to detail, adherence to procedures, teamwork, and effective communication in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform visual inspections, paperwork verification, and final kit inspections with minimal supervision.

Follow all applicable procedures, quality policies, and safety guidelines.

Accurately document inspection results in accordance with GDP standards.

Complete all required company, Quality Management System (QMS), and departmental training on time.

Maintain a working understanding of departmental quality logs and relevant aspects of the QMS.

Support effective communication within and across departments.

Perform lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly; push up to 600 lbs occasionally and 300 lbs regularly (with assistance as needed).

Work overtime, including weekends, as required to meet production demands.

Position Requirements:
Education & Experience

Required: High School Diploma and at least 1 year of laboratory experience.

Preferred: High School Diploma and at least 1 year of Incoming Inspection experience.
Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.

Ability to inspect mechanical, electrical, and optical components/assemblies.

Competence in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with procedures, batch records, and QMS documentation.
General Skills
