Nurse Practitioner – Comprehensive Care

What You’ll Do
As a Nurse Practitioner with Comprehensive Care, you will:
- Provide both urgent and chronic care to patients in correctional facilities or emergency shelter homes.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and mental health evaluations.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Perform outpatient procedures such as skin biopsies, laceration repair, splinting/casting, and more.
- Prescribe and manage medications in alignment with agency protocols.
- Educate and counsel patients on prevention, wellness, and long-term health.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals.

Qualifications
- Current California RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Valid NP Furnishing Number and DEA license.
- Current BLS (AHA or equivalent).
- Board certification (for NP II level) in Family Practice, Adult/Geriatric, Pediatrics, or Psychiatric Mental Health.
- One year of NP experience preferred for NP II; new graduates may qualify for NP I.
- Must have urgent care experience (sutures, drainage, & incision)
Special Requirements
- Ability to work in a correctional or juvenile facility environment.
- Must pass a background check and maintain security clearance.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Schedule:
9/80 Schedule
Must be open to working one weekend day or evening shift
